Venue and accommodation

ATKV Buffelspoort Resort, Northwest Province.

Group accommodation has been reserved for Indaba delegates from 23 – 26 October 2023 (minimum of three nights’ stay) at the Resort. Please download the booking form on the registration page, complete and submit. As a matter of courtesy to the resort all accommodation not taken up by 31 July 2023 will be released, but delegates will still be able to reserve accommodation with the resort, if available. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

CPD points

Certificates of attendance will be issued after the conference and delegates can apply to SACNASP for CPD points (1 point for a full day’s attendance, up to a maximum of 3 points).

Mid-conference field trips

The registration fees above cover an approximately half-day field visit to places of interest within a maximum 2 hours’ drive from the venue. The field trips will, however, be self-drive, and delegates will be requested to share vehicles and fuel costs. Mid-conference trip options will be communicated as soon as these have been finalised.

Pre- and Post-conference field visits

These events will be scheduled based on interest expressed by delegates. Please note that for practical reasons participation in these activities will be limited. Booking will be done on the basis of first come, first served, and will be confirmed. Details will be available on the registration page.

Sponsorship opportunities

The organisers welcome sponsorship participation. A range of sponsorship options have been identified to provide high value opportunities for branding during the conference, and there are sponsorship options to suit every budget. All sponsors are invited to submit a promotional paragraph for the printed Handbook, together with their logo. Please contact the Secretariat for sponsorship options and branding benefits or view the Sponsorship page online.

Annual Awards

Please visit South African Wetland Society for the Annual Awards nomination form..

Flights and car rental

Please make your flight bookings early, and connect with fellow delegates to share lifts between the airport and venue. Most car rental companies have offices at Lanseria Airport, which is approximately 71 km from the venue.

Greening the event

We are committed to hosting an environmentally responsible event. We will, wherever possible, incorporate greening considerations into the planning and implementation of the event.

Should delegates need any further information, please do not hesitate to make contact with the Conference Secretariat.
